What exactly do I receive? A Windows desktop application — a single installer file. On purchase, you'll receive an email with a unique download link and a unique licence key. Install the app, create your passphrase on first run, and enter your licence key to activate. From that point it runs entirely on your own device, offline.

Do I need to have assets in multiple countries? No. The app works for any family with a meaningful asset base, whether that's a single property and a pension in one country, or a portfolio spread across five currencies and three continents. The multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction features are there if you need them and invisible if you don't.

How is it delivered? Automatically, the moment your order is confirmed. You'll receive an email with your unique download link and licence key immediately. There is no waiting and no manual preparation.

What Windows version do I need? Windows 10 or Windows 11. The app is a native Windows desktop application and does not require Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or any other software.

What currencies does it support? The 16 most widely used international currencies are built in: GBP, USD, EUR, AED, SAR, JOD, MXN, COP, CNY, JPY, INR, AUD, CAD, CHF, SGD and HKD. You choose which currency your portfolio displays in. Exchange rates can be refreshed at any time. If you need a currency not on the list, contact us at hello@familywealthsafeguard.com before purchasing and we'll confirm whether we can accommodate it.

I'm not based in the UK. Will it work for me? Yes. It was designed for exactly this. The app works for any family in any country. The UK and US tax calculators are included as worked examples. Every rate is an input you control, so they adapt to any jurisdiction.

What is the Mobility Index? The percentage of your total net worth held in assets you could access within days — cash, quoted equities, physical gold and similar. Everything else (property, pensions, business interests) is fixed and illiquid. Most families with significant property are surprised by how low their number is. Knowing it is the starting point for improving it.

What is the Red Folder? The section of the app covering what your family would need to know and do if circumstances changed suddenly — where assets are held, who the advisers are, what the trigger points are for action, and how to ensure the people who matter can access what they need. The app generates a Red Folder HTML export in one click: a self-contained, printable document you can file with your important papers.

What is the Executor Pack? A one-click PDF export covering your complete financial picture: asset inventory, Risk Action Plan, Red Folder contents, and instructions for whoever needs to act on your behalf. Six sections, A4 format, ready to print or store digitally.

Is this financial advice? No. Family Wealth Safeguard is an analytical and planning tool. It helps you understand what you own, what it's genuinely worth and how accessible it is. It does not tell you what to buy, sell or do with your assets. Always consult a qualified financial adviser before making investment or disposal decisions.

What's your refund policy? Because the licence key is unique and delivered on purchase, we are unable to offer refunds once the download link has been sent. What if I need help using the app? Reply to your delivery email or contact us at hello@familywealthsafeguard.com. You'll get a response from a real person. There are no automated responses and no noreply addresses.

Can I share it with my family? The licence covers personal use within your household. It is not licensed for redistribution, sharing outside your household, or use in a professional advisory context.

Is my financial data safe? The app runs entirely on your own device. Your data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and can only be accessed with your passphrase. Nothing you enter is transmitted anywhere or stored on any server. We have no access to your financial information at any point.

Do I need an internet connection? No — the app runs entirely offline once installed. An internet connection is only used for one optional feature: refreshing live exchange rates. All other functions work without any connection.

Will there be updates? Yes. Updates are delivered as a new installer file via email to registered customers. When an update is available, you'll receive an email with a new download link. Your passphrase and data are preserved across updates.
